Khulumoya in Zulu language means great wind. Great winds of playful joy are now blowing in Ubombo, a village in the Kwa-Zulu province in South Africa, as children enjoy playing on a Lappset playground. A charity organization called The Sound of Joy raised money for the playground through a variety of actions in northern Finland, and donated the playground to the Ubombo Children’s Care Village, run by “Mama” Dawn Irons. The playground furnished by one of Lappset’s classics – the wooden Finno range – was opened on 14 July 2014.
