Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya was born in 636 Hijri according to the Islamic date. The history of Nizamuddin Auliya is given below. He was a religious person and was known with the title of “Mehboob e Ilahi”. Ghias ud Din Balban also gave him the title of “Shams ul Malik”. His real name was Mohammad and his bloodline reaches to Hzarat Ali R.A, companion of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH). His family migrated from Bukhara to Lahore. Then his both grandfathers Khwaja Ali and Khwaja Arab went to Badayun with their families and Nizamuddin born there on 27th of Safar (Islamic month). His father died when he was 5 years old. His mother raised him afterward. He learned Qadoori from Molana Alauddin Asooli. After that, he learned the Holy Quran, books of “Mutadwala” and alphabetical knowledge. Due to his interest in education, he went to Delhi with his mother at the age of 16 and became a student of Molana Shams ud Din. He learned from him the book of “Harerei”. He also learned Hadith from Molana Kamal ud Din and Molana Ahmad Tabrezi, who were the religious scholars of Delhi. After that, he took education in the fields of Fiqah, Asool, Tafseer, Hindsah and Heyat. To meet Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar, he went to Pak Patan Sharif at the age of 20. Baba Fareed made him his Khalifa on the first day of meeting. His politeness and religiousness impressed the people very much. They traveled from long distances to meet him. Sultan of that time also admired him and implemented the Islamic constitution in the country. He wrote 4 books by the names of Fawaid al Fuad, Fasal Fuad, Rahat al Muhabbeen and Sayyad al Auliya.
