Once again it will be downhillers & xc racers fighting for honours, but added into the mix this year will be uber popular Enduro class of racers to spice things up. Tracks this year will be: · K2 (now only grade 4 due to someone cutting the roots out at the start), · Hot X Buns and into bunny jugs · Tihi O Tawa and onto Billy T · The new trail Kataore which will take us down to the finish at the Blue lake for a cold beer, hot chips and maybe a cold swim. To keep up with the plethora of other enduro style races, we have added in an extra stage – that’s 4 stages for the price of 3. Note that if its too wet we might have to re think the use of Kataore as it’s a new track and in the wet it’s pretty slippery. As in previous years, you’ll need to be a Rotorua Mtn Bike club member (as this race is put on my the club for club members), but its only $30 – a small price to pay for the smug look you can wear on your face knowing that you have contributed to the awesome Whakarewarewa trail network.
