Kia ora whanau, What a jam packed week full of fun learning - TopicsExpress

Kia ora whanau, What a jam packed week full of fun learning experiences we have had. The Kindergarten has come alive with the sound of music again this week as many of the children have been bringing in their taaonga (treasures) like ukulele, family members and waiata from home to share with us. As we continue to play and sing its wonderful to see whaanau pride and childrens mama radiate as we all come together and share these special experiences. Even though the weather was a bit wet in the middle we managed be present again in the community this week with a walk into the village to gather photographs of our local buildings, shops and signs. there was much discussion about the connections they have with these places and recalling the times they have visited and the experiences they have had. We have also continued in the garden this week with groups of children helping and taking good care of Papatuuaanuku - our natural environment, by planting marigolds and herbs to fill up our herb garden and vegetables in our planter boxes. We hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will see you all fresh again on Monday, Arohanui, The East Harbour teaching team.
