Kilimanjaro is the world’s highest free standing, snow-covered, - TopicsExpress

Kilimanjaro is the world’s highest free standing, snow-covered, equatorial mountain. More than 75,000 people climb Mount Kilimanjaro per year, hence making it not to be considered the most remote mountain neither the more arduous, but it is certainly a test of one’s abilities with altitude sickness being the main reason for climbers not to summit. However, it has become ‘a must do’ for travellers as other climbers who fail to make at the summit have been coming back to attain the accomplishment. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain that regular tourists can climb, the breathable oxygen at the top is less than half the amount than is common at the sea level, and climbers cover at least eighty kilometres on nothing but their own feet over the five days it takes to reach the top and return, though more days to 10 can be chosen to easy the adventure.
