Killing them with kindness. I entered Sastasha HM in progress - TopicsExpress

Killing them with kindness. I entered Sastasha HM in progress as tank. From what I gather, the previous tank left because they couldnt take joke. Hmm... Red flag? I meet the group at first boss and we wiped because I was constantly stunned. I asked the MNK if they knew how to take Prey from me, and the BLM gets super alpha defensive since I didnt address the mnk by name. Our second attempt, the mnk couldnt quite get Prey off me, so I just said, Well, you almost got it. Just takes practice. Again, mega alpha BLM defended her saying she did amazingly wonderful. Its pretty damn obvious those two are a teenage couple. After first boss fight, Ultra badass alpha BLM goes and aggroes the lone fish trash mob while I was typing up a response. Nearly died until I provoked the mob off. Gnarly alpha BLM proudly proclaimed, BLM tanking FTW! and MNK praised her bae. I rolled my eyes so hard, I saw my brain trying to stab itself. Despite being this awesome and tight couple, mnk and amazing alpha BLM cant seem to target the same mob, so not only must I put more effort into balancing hate, but I must endure more damage from 3 mobs at 5% health each instead of one mob and two dead mobs. And yet throughout, I made cheerful jokes and comments. In the last set of mob, where theres a final mob that spawns and a bunch of adds show up, the now cooperative BLM asks us to take a break so mnk can regen TP, RIGHT when that last mob spawns and adds come out. We still made it, and I politely apologized for not waiting since the mob spawned right away. The pleasant chum BLM explained he understood and just didnt want anybody to be mad at mnk for not attacking. I assured him, that was no big deal since that was a legit reason and told them to let me know theyre ready. The decent swell guy BLM thanked me and mnk was happy I wasnt mad. The last boss went well, considering. After the fight, I said, Good job all, Happy Holidays. I got all three commendations. Your attitude determines your altitude.
