Kind of a sad day for the park. Lucky, our mascot carp who has called Willow Pond Home for approximately 22 years, died today. Campers, amazed at his size, enjoyed watching him slowly move through the pond since the day the park opened in 1996. Our young campers would spend hours running around the pond following Lucky as he circled. Lucky was transported from his original home in Lake Desolation to Willow Pond in 1992 by a young neighborhood fisherman. At that time he was just 6 long. He grew to about 24 and was about 23 years old. He will be missed by many.
