Kind of like halving. Years ago i was very ill, and went from around 8 and a half stone, to 6 stone and few pounds. i had no appetitie, and when i had been eating it wasnt doing anything for me. I cant really put myself in shoes of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh, I did read a bit about the IRA prisoner hungerstrikers, who went for a good length before demise came, Thatcher being an extremely hard woman. Neither parties caved in. Bhai Randhir Singh also refused food in prison at times remember reading about him, in biography, when milk was being forcefed by a metal tube inserted down his throatk but he managed to resist regardless, preventing it from going down....There will be history of other hungerstrikers in the world too, trying to bring focus to basic human issue of the right to live peacefully, freely, harmlessly. Each time members of Punjab Sarkaar, and other dignitaries relevant to this whole scenario, eat food, what does their mind speak to them? There hangs an innocent peaceful man, who has halved in 20 days, refuses to eat a morsel of grain grown on the soil of Punjab, so that an Ongoing Wrong of the State maybe Put Right. Question here becomes, how low has the conscience become...of those that eat daily? Knowing of those 20 days of starvation.....I tried for 24 hours, and caved in by the evening...having a piece of dry bread, worried what my insides would end up doing or i might deteriorate. I have had at least one meal if not more on a daily basis since. Why would a State Governor, Minister, Union Governor, Minister, Justice/Jails minister, or other relevant official, wish for the soul and body of an ordinary modest man remain in prolonged agony. They have had time to deliberate, comprehend, project on this. What exactly awaits ........the battle of Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa s conviction for freedom...conscience...for the ongoing Wrong.......against the sleeping conscience of the State, that continues about its business as normal, with fine dining for good measure. Are such minds awaiting a corpse, or are such minds embroiled in games of scoring political points, and consuming meals, they really have no real idea what it takes to function as a real human being. 13 mins · Like
