Kindly Dont Discriminate in Education Congress has urged the government not to discriminate in the education sector and make its grants-disbursal policy an equitable one. Congress spokesperson, Durgadas Kamat, said the governments decision to give grants to a new college started at Dharbandora by BJP Sanvordem MLA, Ganesh Gaonkar, has impacted admissions to IT and management under-graduate courses across the state. Kamat argued that with the fee-structure extremely low at the Dharbandora college on account of the grants given by the government, admissions to Bachelor of Computer Applications and Bacherlor of Business Administration across colleges in Goa offering the same courses has got impacted. He demanded that the government should adopt an equitable policy and also give grants to all the other colleges offering the same courses so that their fee-structures can also be lowered.
