Kinds Of Literature Literature can be divided into two broad kinds: i). Fictional Literature ii). Non-Fictional Literature. i. Fictional Literature: It is a narrative writing imagined and draw from imagination of the author rather than from history or facts. Fictional Literature is categorized into: Drama, Poetry, Short Stories, Prose, Novel , Fables, Fairytales and Folklore. ii. Non-Fictional Literature: It is informative, comprises the interesting facts with analysis as it is all about the real facts, people and events. Non-Fictional Literature can be categorized into: Autobiography, Biography, Essay, Literary Criticism, Travel Literature, Diary, Journal.
