Kinkajous have something special that helps them to get termites from termite mounds, honey from hives and nectar from flowers. Can you guess what this is? It’s their long tongue! A kinkajou’s tongue can grow up to 5 inches long. They are sometimes called honey bears because they raid bees nests. They use their long, skinny tongues to slurp honey from a hive; their short, dense fur provides a natural protection from bee stings.
