Kissers Co-work with 22/11 Hero: Ufuk Şenel Hidden Hero: Orçun Okurgan Concept: Ufuk Şenel Text: Selda Öndül Choreography:Handan Ergiydiren Doğan- Ufuk Şenel Dramaturgi : Selda Öndül Light Design: Ulaş Yatkın Visual Design: Müessese by Aykut Genç Project Assistant: Günay Ertekin-Hilal Sibel Pekel Since 2007, under the leadership of Handan Ergiydiren Doğan, 22/11, has produced text based performance projects inviting its spectators into a new “haunted house” in which text, space, movement, sound and object collide with and permeate through each other. The ghosts of “the reminiscence” itself and those of the performer, in his body and mind, fall one an other. “Show me your wet bathing suit” on Sevim Burak’s texts and Zafer Aracagök’s music (2007); “Diss” (2008), a co-work with “Damaged” by Çağlar Yiğitoğulları; “Luvstory” (2009); “If only we could sit at a table” (2010) mainly based on Nick Cave’s “And the ass saw the angel”; Old Times (2011) by Harold Pinter and “Kissers” (2011) are the productions of the group in most of which Selda Öndül has been the dramaturg. “The Kissers” tells a voyage which probes existence while seeking love. Wandering around horns, wings and words, it tells a one sided love story of the self which has been stuck between reality and dream. The self in this voyage is in a constant search for its true self. The text (by Selda Öndül) has the impression that it is a story of one person, however, that one person makes the story crowded. The protagonist at first sees the untouchable feelings he has for his fellow as power struggle then he takes them for granted. Through a naïve language, he tries to escape from the story and the performance. But he cannot get away from himself… he trips over his own feet; falls down; gets injured… the voyage never ends, the voyager/wanderer never takes a breath and finds a place to rest for a while. The bitter, unusual, desperate, passionate state of such a self-centered story while displayed in front of the spectator, the protagonist dares to revert what has happened like a vicious and jealous child. Bir hatırlayışın hayaletleri, hatırlayanın hayaletleriyle, gösterimcinin varlığında, bedeninde ve bilincinde birbirinin üstüne kapaklanıyor... Sevim Burak metinleri üzerine Bana Islak Mayonuzu Gösterin 2007, Damaged (Çağlar Yiğitoğulları) ile ortak yapım olan Diss (2008) ve Luvstory (2009), Nick Cavein Ve Eşek Meleği Gördü romanı üzerine yarattığı Keşke Bir Masada Oturabilseydik (2010), Harold Pinterın Eski Günler(2011) oyununun ardından Öpüşenler adlı yeni projesiyle 22/11 yeniden seyircisiyle buluşuyor. “Öpüşenler” aşkı ararken, varoluşu sorgulayan bir yolculuğu anlatıyor. Boynuzlar, kanatlar ve sözcükler arasında dolanarak, gerçek ile hayal arasında sıkışan ve kendi hakikatini arayarak çabalayan benliğin, tek taraflı aşk hikayesini konu ediyor. Tek bir kişininmiş gibi yazılan ama tek kişi tarafından yaratılan kalabalık bir hikaye.Kahraman, hemcinslerin bir birine duyduğu dokunulmaz hisleri, çoğu zaman içinden çıkılmaz bir iktidar savaşı olarak görse de bir süre sonra bunu kanıksıyor. Böylelikle naif bir dille, hem hikayeden, hem performe edilenden kaçabilmeye uğraşıyor. Ne ki, kendinden uzaklaşması mümkün değil… kendi kendisine dolanarak tökezliyor, düşüyor, çarpıyor, yaralanıyor…gene de yol bitmiyor, yolcu bir türlü konaklayamıyor… Böylesi bencil bir hikayenin, acılı, ayrık, ümitsiz, arzulu hali, seyredene sunulurken, kahraman; olup biten her şeyi hırçın ve kıskanç bir çocuk gibi geri alma/isteme cesareti gösteriyor.
