Knights Fans! General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that the London Knights 2014 3rd round (58th overall) selection Tyler Nother has committed to and entered into an OHL Standard Players Agreement with the London Knights. Nother, an Orangeville, ON native and right shooting defenseman, had previously committed to Miami University and spent last season with the Halton Hurricanes Minor Midget program. When asked why he decided to leave his commitment at Miami to sign with the London Knights, Nother stated how lucky he was to have two great options to choose from. I decided to come to the London Knights because I feel as though its the best place for my development as a hockey player and as a person. London has a long history of developing junior hockey players into NHL players and I hope to continue that long tradition. Nother was also asked what it will be like to wear a London Knights jersey next season. Im very honoured. It will certainly be a very special moment for myself and my family when I pull on that London Knights jersey for the first time. Its something Ive dreamed about for a very long time and I feel fortunate for having been drafted by one of the best franchises in Major Junior Hockey. I would like to thank my family, friends and agent for all their support in making this decision. Im excited to begin this next chapter with the London Knights Hockey Club. We are very excited to welcome Tyler to the family!
