Knock loud Tap tap tap echoes monstrous to the tiny mouse though just a whisper in the draft of the room where her heart dwells. Tap tap tap the slightest rapping on the door to her heart which she has kept under lock and key. Knees slightly bent with shoulders drooped and petite in stature, she extends her dainty arm, unsure and hesitant.... ....tap tap tap as she tries with her might to get over the slight dealt her by people from the past in a far away life though the scars on the door to her heart remain. Her arm drops to her side in a defeated feel of shame for a disability in her water ran dry weak and wearied rainbow brindle brown eyes. I cant do it she whispers in her mind already over flowing with the what ifs of insecuritys relentless lashings. She knows there is something.. ...to be found... but what? Huummph she sighs as she reaches deep, and again she raises a nervous arm. Tap tap tap... You can do it she hears in a soothing whisper as she jumps back startled and yet the voice... a familiarity about it as the words you poured fluid can into her ear canal do as the hair on her body stands it on end because... As she stands frozen in wonder as to what a being could have such a...voice... I must be going loopy as her mind convinces her that it is a breeze. What are you scared of? as the hollow voice of dignity drifts over the air gently wafting and dancing delicately on her ear drum as though the graceful ballet of the nutcracker suite, and she steps back eyeing intently the door that lies before her. Once again she raises her arm this time with a bit more curiosity and more solid curve in the hand with which she is knocking as her knuckles connect with the solid wood door and this time the reverberation can be heard. Slowly, she feels the warming in her stomach of courage as it delicately travels through her body up to, and into her once flacid unsure appendage as the feeling raises it in an action that startled her almost out of her skin. WHAMM!!! WHAMM!!! WHAMM!!! And as the door creaked open slightly ajar and the light bright enough to blind enveloped the frame as the door stopped. You can do it. said the voice as the comfort of his words dropped her to her knees and she was overwhelmed by the love and security the voice provided her as she started to sob, but for what she didnt know i know that voice scrolled across her mind behind her eyes as though the readings on a billboard. the comfort of my relentless fear as she slowly raises back to her feet from her knees. I can do this she whispers and as the voice replied Yes you can she raised her foot and in true to herself fashion, her heal crashed into the door shattering it into splinters as the warmth of the light wrapped around her for God was giving her a hug. I am proud of you. and for the first time in her life she heard what she needed to hear, and tears of joy carved salty river beds into her face. Again, in the corner of her left eye a salty tear broke its fleshy barrier and followed its destiny down the path already laid, to drop through the air in slow motion as it landed with the slightest splatter upon mahogany floor. As she fell prone through the threshold -of the door to her heart- to the floor, God looked from afar and said You did good. As she laid face down weeping she prayed... Dear heavenly father i pray to you for the forgiveness i need for falling astray and and walking away from my heart, the house where you dwell and forgetting you were there for me regardless how not there i was for you. Thank you for showing me the way home for i was hopelessly and utterly lost. Thank you for giving me the needed courage to give it my all in the search for you even though you were right behind the door which blinded when all i needed to do was knock with all of my heart.
