Know that you are a perfectionist …........ When one thing that you have done doesn’t match your standards, and you think of yourself as a terrible, bad, awful person who cannot do anything right. When one cake - out of the hundreds that you have baked - doesn’t turn out beautifully and you begin to wonder if you are any good at baking at all. When one less-than- perfect thing happens in your life, and you begin to believe that everything in your life is wrong – and it is your fault. Some of us have such perfectionist tendencies that we shrug off hundreds of kind deeds that we may have done, but chastise ourselves for hours for a single selfish deed done.
