Know the signs of an abuser, a side no one else sees but the victim: They are very charming, athey dont feel guilty or bad (like we do) when they hurt/wrong people. They blame shift, putting their responsibilities on others instead of taking responsibility for their actions. They degrade, minimize and or call names. They isolate (including limiting or interfering in associations). They build allies (usually with your stongest supports) to undermine you and build up their lie (theyre good your bad/crazy). They deny your reality & feelings (which does make you go crazy over time). They provoke you into wrong actions (try) to shift focus off them to you. All with the purpose of control, making you think & act for/about them 24/7. Slavery. It destroys your identity, trust in your judgment, ability to defend yourself and ability to leave. Note: They may feel bad about consequences to themselves but this is not really remorse for wrong doing. Consequences are the primary way they change, only 2-3 percent ever will and that is with work for the rest of their lives. Sound familiar?
