Knowledge is power! Took on one of the biggest banks of Australia. Process of closing a deceased account was wrong and made my mum (in her time of mourning) pay for an overdraft that was not legally hers. I sat down looked at all the information given to me (laptop on hand) made enquiries with the Omsbudsman, went back to the Banks complaint department to make a complaint .. 20 mins later mum got a verbal apology, processed used at the time was incorrect and refunded mum in full. Did all this over the phone without leaving the house. Moral of the story - If you know you have been wronged, then take action!
