Wim Koevermans has announced his list of 20 players for India’s international friendly against Tajikistan which is scheduled to played in Khujand on 14 August 2013. The Bhangra Boys are ranked 46 places below their Asian counterparts, who are currently ranked 106 in the FIFA Rankings as per the latest rankings released in July 2013. The Indian squad leaves for Tajikistan from New Delhi on Friday (9 August 2013) and are set to return to the capital on 16 August from where they would proceed to Bengaluru for the preparatory camp for the SAFF Championship. Another set of players would also be joining the squad for the preparatory camp in Bengaluru which would be announced later. The 20-member list is as follows: Goalkeepers: Karanjit Singh, Sandip Nandy, Subhasish Roychowdhury. Defenders: Denzil Franco, Nirmal Chettri, Arnab Mondal, Gouramangi Moirangthem, Raju Gaikwad, Gurjinder Kumar. Midfielders: Mehtab Hossain, Lalrindika Ralte, Arata Izumi, Lenny Rodriguez, Jewel Raja Shaikh. Forwards: Francis Fernandes, Shylo Malsawmtluanga, Clifford Miranda, Sunil Chhetri, Robin Singh, Dawson Fernandes.
