RedRay Frazier BE SURE TO CATCH REDRAY TONIGHT @ DOUG FIR - along with a huge stellar bill including SCOTT PEMBERTON & BORN COSMIC (both CD RELEASE SHOWS!!!) and I will be there in support of an amazing bill Ray is one my long time friends, and favorite Artists in the Pacific NW When I wrote this song, there was no doubt in my mind that Ray was the guy to lend backing vocals. Where as every other track on that album included Female back ups, I wanted my main man on a track to keep it fresh. The final result is what you hear, but in the big picture, there is so much more to the story and the message. Its all about helping one another (even if to a fault) because if more people conducted themselves this way... the world would be a much better place. Another side to this story was that we chose to dedicate it to the late/great Barry Hampton, who had passed just before we finished tracking these vocals. R.I.P. BH On that note, it is a sad week in our music community grieving the loss of another Legendary Singer, and Staple of the Portland Music Scene... in Janice Scroggins. May she rest in peace and her widows shower in love This journey is ALL about helping one another find our way together...
