Krishna created 8.4 million species of living entities. Each of these species multiplied by their population which runs into several trillions, performs different functions like breathing, thinking, working, enjoying etc etc by the mercy of Krishna Who is present in each body in His unmanifest form of Soul. In other words it is the Soul that enables the body to perform any action. The Soul is described in The Bhagavad Gita as amazing. Because it is so small that even with the most powerful microscope man cannot see it. The dimension of the Soul is described as One Tenthousandth part of the tip of the hair. It is this same Soul that enables both the whale which can be as big as ten full grown elephants, and also the microscopic germ to perform their functions. The Soul is so powerful because it is an energy of Krishna. Any,body , can function only so long as the Soul is present in it. As soon as The Soul leaves the body, the body ceases to function, which is what we refer to as death. Actually The Soul never dies. Only the body stops working and slowly decomposes.
