Kudos to Marion County Prosecutors Office. As a former Deputy Prosecutor, and now as a defense attorney, I have experienced both sides of the adversarial nature of criminal law. I respect prosecutors who are aggressive and just. The Marion County Prosecutors Office correctly filed charges against my client based on the facts as presented to that Office. However, over the course of many months I was able to present additional information, gathered from my client, to the Office that it could not have known. That evidence was such that while the Office legally could have continued with the prosecution, it wouldnt have been just to do so. It evaluated that information and today dismissed the case. Justice was served.
