Kudos to sophomore Logan Farrow (not pictured) and alumna Monique Prejean, 10, (pictured with her brother, Jake) for completing the 39th Annual Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) last weekend in Washington, D.C. Farrow, a mechanical engineering major and United States Marine Corps veteran, raised $1,200 for Team Racing for Veterans (R4V), an organization that provides support for wounded veterans who want to compete in racing events. Having served two deployments, Farrow ran the race in honor of a close friend who was killed in action in Afghanistan and hopes that events like the MCM will help people remember the sacrifices men and women in the armed services make.
