Kudos to the Edmonton Journal, its Editors, Researchers, and Paula Simons for taking on the Alberta Government over children in care. Paulas column this morning sits in stark contrast to Minister Hancocks letter, which lands, typically, as defensive, derisive of actual fact and research, and too full of government gobbledygook. Obviously, written by his communications staff--theyre trying so hard to cram it all in that theres nothing actually there (as usual). You know, if any of the PCs actually got off their duff and actually did anything rather than talked about it (or mostly, got their communications staff to talk about it) we wouldnt have such a dysfunctional and parochial government. Im not holding my breath.
