Kyiv states the achievement of “mutual understanding” with Russia The participants of the trilateral contact group in realising the points of the peace plan of the Ukrainian President, manned by representatives from Ukraine, Russia, and the OSCE, held three meetings on June 8th and 9th. This was reported by the Department of Informational Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. “As a result of the work carried out the parties have reached mutual understanding regarding the goals, the achievement of which would provide to de-escalate the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine,” says the message. The participants of the trilateral contact group agreed to continue meetings in this format, added the MFA. The first session of the trilateral contact group in realising the peace plan in the east of Ukraine took place yesterday, on June 8th, with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. During the meeting the head of state emphasised that the parties have to work on realising the agreements that had been reached in Normandy during a meeting with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
