Kyra update: I feel so blessed to have the loving family and friends that I do have. And with each step forward Kyra makes shows what positive energy can do. The power of love, healing and prayer goes a long way. So this little girl is just so beautiful and so amazing. I couldnt be happier with how well she had progressed. She now weighs 6 lbs 12 oz and is over 19 inches long. She has finally out grown preemie diapers and is almost too long for the preemie pjs. Grow baby girl grow!!! The past 4 nights she has slept through the night as well. On Friday we saw the drs that will be performing her surgery, Dr. Proctor head neurosurgeon and Dr Meara head plastic surgeon. They both are wonderful and are very pleased with how Kyra is doing. They reviewed the ultrasound that St Francis had sent and said that the cyst that was compressing her brain is getting smaller. They did their own ultrasound and it shows that the cyst is almost gone!!! :D With the cyst going away that makes things less urgent and we can push surgery off for a bit while she grows and gets stronger. They said that she would be having surgery between 9-11 months. She will be seeing an opthalmologist to evaluate her eye sight because the mass on her face is starting to creep over her right eyes line of vision. If the eye Dr says that it could hinder her vision they would be having the surgery sooner. So all is well and good with the littlest princess in our family.
