LABOUR PARTY NOW A PARTY TO BEAT IN OYO STATE...... #Abisodun / AKALA VOLUNTEERS# Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for Oyo North senatorial district and member representing Atisbo/Saki East/Saki West federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Tajudeen Abisodun Kareem, has stated that the party had become strengthened in the state. Speaking on the heels of the defection of former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala to the LP, Kareem noted that the party was poised to win the 2015 general election in the state. Kareem, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Urban and Regional Planning, stated this on Thursday, while speaking with Nigerian Tribune; noting that the wide acceptance of the former governor, as well as the massive support he [Kareem] and Alao-Akala enjoyed in Oke-Ogun area of the state, would swing the votes in favour of the party. “I can tell you authoritatively that the people of Oke-Ogun are ready to vote for the Labour Party, because they cannot forget in a jiffy, the massive contributions of Alao-Akala to the development of the region while in office. If you combine his clout with the influence of several of our leaders in Oyo North senatorial district, then you can conclude that the vote will end in our favour in 2015,” he said. According to Kareem, the All Progressives Congress (APC) government could “not point to any tangible development in Oke-Ogun except the less-than-10-kilometres road tarred in Iseyin, which is already failing,” adding that the region had never been more marginalised than it had been under Governor Abiola Ajimobi. “Oke-Ogun people know those who love them and they will vote for Alao-Akala and the Labour Party in all elections in 2015. They have had enough of the lies from these alleged progressives’ camps,” he said. JOIN LABOUR PARTY TODAY!!! FORWARD EVER!!!
