LAMA INDEPENDENT ELECTIONS COMMISSION ELECTIONS ANNOUNCEMENT The Independent Elections Commission of the Liberian Association of Metropolitan Atlanta (LAMA) is pleased to announce that the Bi-elections for the positions of Board Member and General Secretary are scheduled for November 9, 2014. The Elections will be held at 4.30PM at the: Joseph Boakai’s Liberian Community Center 4757 Stone Mountain Highway Suite 700 Lilburn, GA 30047 All Applications should be mailed to: Minister Salifu Samuel Kamara Chairman LAMA Independent Elections Commission 2979 Dunlin Meadows Drive Lawrenceville, GA 30044 However, Applications can be hand delivered to any member of the Elections Commission. QUALIFICATION Qualifications will be in consonance with the Constitution and beyond. Candidate must: 1. Be a Liberian Citizen by Birth or Naturalization 2. Be a member of LAMA for at least one year and possess legal immigration status 3. Be a member in good financial standing (current with dues for the last one year 4. Be at least a High School Graduate 5. Must have demonstrated leadership qualities for the position for which he/she seeks to be elected 6. Write an application for position desired 7. Submit two passport size photos Deadline for the Submission of Applications is October 31, 2014. The Candidates will be required to pay a fee as shown below. Board Member $ 100.00 General Secretary $ 50.00 All Application Fees are non-refundable. Payment must be made by Money Order and made payable to LAMA with the notation for Independent Elections Commission. Fees must be in your application package.
