LAN POSTPONEMENT TO NEXT WEEKEND: Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had no alternative but to postpone the LAN to ensure a successful event. We have been informed that disruptions caused by load shedding are confirmed to happen this afternoon and Saturday and Sunday and a disruption in the network infrastructure at the NMMU due to the installations of UPS systems to all networking equipment on North and South Campus throughout Saturday. We have tried our best over the last 18 hours to make arrangements around this and keep the event this weekend, but it was not possible. New date and venue: Friday the 12th December at 5pm to Sunday the 14th at 12pm at the Indoor Sports Centre on NMMU South Campus. We apologise for the big inconveniences this causes, especially to the participants coming from out of town. The new venue will have backup generators in the event of load shedding next weekend to ensure no disruptions and the NMMU network connection to the internet will be improved.
