LATEST NEWS: The city of North Branch received an email from Superior Silica this morning. SSS has been working on determining what permits will be necessary from Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). SSS might not have the necessary permits from MPCA until February at the earliest. For this reason, SSS has asked that all work on the project be paused until they have the permit finalized. The city of North Branch has cancelled their timeline and is suspending work on the agreements, plat and transportation study with Chisago County.
