The aim of this programme is to train and develop a person to become a qualified Artisan according to the requirements of Chemical Industries Education and Training (CHIETA). Fields: Electrical, Fitter, Instrumentation, Welding, Rigging, Turning and Boilermaker. Requirements: Grade 12 or N3 with Maths and Science E symbol Sg. English E symbol Physical or Engineering science. For the duration of the training you will ensure the execution and delivering of defined engineering and technology tasks. Ensure application of the appropriate engineering and technology so as to deliver both departmental and section management with the development and implimentation of procedure, guidelines and best practice. Ensure that the applicable draughting and engineering codes of practice and standards are adhered to. Obtain a Trade Test Certificate after the predetermined period of practical training.
