LEON CO., December 3, 2013— A murder suspect, last spotted in Buffalo, Texas, on Nov. 23, is still at large. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the US Marshalls are seeking public help locating this suspect. Colt Morgan, age 29, is believed to have been in the Buffalo, Texas area over the weekend of Nov. 22-23. He has been charged with murder in Harris County, in connection with the death of his girlfriend. On November 23, Buffalo Police Department attempted to speak with a suspicious person who matched Morgan’s description. During questioning, the suspect assaulted the officer and fled on foot. A search was conducted, but the suspect was not located. The suspect was wearing black cargo-style pants, a dark grey or black hoodie, and black combat boots. Colt Morgan is a white male, 5’10” tall, and weighs 170 pounds. Morgan should be considered extremely dangerous, and caution should be used. Anyone spotting someone matching Morgan’s identity should not attempt to engage him on their own, but should immediately call 9-1-1, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office at 903-536-2749, or Harris County Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. Harris County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information which leads to Morgan’s arrest.
