LESSONS FROM HANNAH (Part 7-Conclusion) 1st Samuel 1:5-24 LESSON SEVEN: HANNAH REDEEMED HER VOW. After testifying of Gods goodness, Hannah presented the boy to the priest, as she had promised God. Dear friends, vowing is one dangerous thing you should never joke with. Eccl. 5:5 states Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou should vow and not pay. Failure to redeem vows, pledges and promises, especially unto God is dangerous. It can lock up heaven against somebody and block every prayer from being answered. Most Christians are suffering today because some time in their lives, they vowed unto God and didnt redeem it; some have even forgotten, but now they are wondering why blessings are not coming. Let us learn from Hannah, if you made any vow under any condition, you must pay it without delay. LESSON EIGHT: FINALLY, HANNAH OFFERED THANKSGIVING UNTO GOD. Thanksgiving is a sign of deep appreciation unto God. Hannah didnt just bring the boy to the temple, she brought other gifts. The bible recorded that she brought three bullocks, one ephah of flour and a bottle of wine. These things were brought for a special thankgiving unto God. After offering everything, she started praying and singing unto God. I can imagine the joy in her heart that day. In fact, she released one of the most powerful worship songs that many of us are still singing today - There is none holy as the Lord....1Sam.2:2. Thanksgiving is very important. It shows that you are grateful unto God. OH GOD, HELP US ALL TO REDEEM OUR VOWS AND THANK YOU ALWAYS IN JESUS NAME... Amen ***Coming soon…Another Series: PRESERVING YOUR GENERATION***
