LESSONS ON AUTHORITY The Lord is really working on developing my level of spiritual authority. My understanding of authority is expanding greatly as the Lord is really teaching me a lot. Ive realized how little the church in general truly understands authority, and its relationship with living in the Kingdom. The essence of the teaching boils down to this: Intimacy increases your Capacity which increases your Authority. This is where the Lord blew the lid off of Eph. 3:20. Your capacity is the power that works within you. God is able to do more through us when our capacity is larger. It is an illustration of an electrical socket. You have several things that require power to operate, but you only have two plugs so your capacity is limited. So, you get a power strip which plugs into one of the sockets (intimacy, the source of power), and give you greater capacity to plug more things in, thus giving you the power to do more! Authority comes from the One who sits upon the Throne, who has the power to Overrule. When we carry the divine Decree from the Throne, we have the Kings Authority to overrule things on earth, including the elements of nature, and the governance of nations. We must not seek after the power, and make it any kind of emphasis, but seek intimacy with Him. God has the Power, and He gives us the divine Authority from the Throne to use HIS Power!
