***LETS ALL PULL TOGETHER DURING THE SEPTEMBER 27th SHOW TO HELP THIS COURAGEOUS YOUNG LADY BY FILLING JOSEYS JAR TO THE TOP!!!!!*** During the break between English and Western, right before the leadline class starts, we will have a Western Training Class to raise money to help Josey’s family pay for her prescriptions, and follow up care. Josey is a vibrant, beautiful 8 year old battling Myelodysplastic Syndrome caused by her missing the long arm of chromosome 5 (5q-). The only cure is a bone marrow transplant. Josey, along with her mom and dad, Ashley and Mike Inselman, and her little sister Bristol, live in Perkins OK. Josey has been receiving treatments at MD Anderson in Houston Texas. She received her bone marrow transplant on August 13th but before she could receive her transplant she first had to undergo several chemo treatments to prepare her body to receive the bone marrow transplant. The chemo was used to kill her existing bone marrow so her “new” bone marrow could grow and help make Josey a strong and healthy young girl. During her recovery Josey and her mom have to live in Houston near MD Anderson so Josey can be close to her doctors for all of her appointments and lab work. While Josey and Ashley are in Houston, Mike and Josey’s little sister Bristol are in Perkins, they can’t wait to all be back together again. Josey’s story can be found on the Facebook page Josey’s Journey. The Training Class will not be judged, it will be conducted like a Western Pleasure Class but Training is allowed to get your horse ready for the Western Classes. The class will be $5 and open to everyone. We will have JOSEYS JAR at the in-gate where you can put in your $5 for the class and all other donations you would like to give to support Josey and her family. Let’s all pull together and help this wonderful family during this difficult time.
