LEVUKA-based Marist Convent School teacher Sera Vira believes her Class One and Two students will now have a fair idea of what she teaches following their field trip in Viti Levu yesterday. The 48 students accompied by their parents visited several places in Suva, including The Fiji Times newsroom in what Ms Vira described as a real eye-opener for them. All the places we visited, including the Fiji Times is part of what we learn and talk about in the classroom, she said. So this field trip was a real eye-opener because when we go back to school, these students will now have a fair idea of these places because they have finally visited them. Ms Vira said the trip, which was possible through fundraising, was also the first time for most of the students to visit the Capital City. We hope to make this an annual trip for classes one and two because we know that it will really benefit them. The students also visited the Kula Eco Park.
