LIGHT OF THE WORLD:I told a friend recently that i dont like to be discussing about the affairs of our governments based on my personal opinion ...... and he asked why ........ 1. I really dont blame them , looking at the categories of the poeple in thier cabinets ...iru wa ogiri wa.....ori tutu ....ori gbigbe with diverse religions and beliefs..........we should not be surprised at what were seeing today ........Jesus told us in the bible that we are the light of the world ......do we see that in most of us at our various offices /government offices and agencies ? How do we expect them to change ..., and most are yet to known christ ........ when they expecedt much righteousnes from us and we were no where to be found ......let s look form our our churches ...can we bodly say that .. the money we realised are spent correctly without diversions ..? can be bodly say theres no fraud in our churches? why do we now expect much from the goverment .... since 70-80 % of us are in those offices but we refuse to shine instead we join them . 2. Goverment spent so much on security because they are afraid of attack from political opponents .......who wanted us to be killed.... who is our rivary in the church that we now engage the service of escort to guide us ? We can not rule out the fact that everbody can never be our friend even if were feeding them .....but is that verse in the bible that says : the LORD is my helper what can man do unto me ..the lord is my salvation vation who shall i fear.....sir when next you quote the verse .. should we believe or not......... are they no more valid? what of psalm 91 vs 2 .... and if i may say that we dont want to be killed .....who is terrifying us ?what have we done wrong ...?.. perhaps, if what we dont want eventually happens, is it because weve are not prepared for death ? so if goverment had spent so much on security ....i am not reffering to the challenges were have presently in the north ooooo. i pray God we restore our land and give us peace ....... .. who we protect us .the ordinary members .... or we are just doing it for show off? oro re o ka gbe yewo oooo 3.He that loveth silver shall not be satified with silver ;nor he that loveth abundance .........etc ecc 5vs 10-11.pastor E.A Adeboye wrote and i qoute worldliness is now the graetest foe of the church and it seems leaders are becoming helpless in this regards.Jesus warned us against convetousness in Luke 12 vs13 -15..to all of us lets check our lives whether the trio of lust-the lust of the flesh,of the eye and the pride of life are present .Then determine to mortify them for evelasting joy and peace .............if we are willing and obedient ,we shall eat the fruits of the Land
