LIGHTSHINE LIGHT: phōs (foce)=From an obsoleteφάω phaō (to shine or make manifest, especially by rays; luminousness (in the widest application, natural or artificial, abstract or concrete, literal or figurative): - fire, light. In Him (Jesus the Word/God) was life; and the life was the LIGHT of men. And the LIGHT SHINES in the darkness; and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:4-5) :And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that GOD ID LIGHT, and in Him there is not darkness at all. If we sy that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light we have fellowship with one another, and the BLOOD OF JESUS HIS SON cleanses us from all sin. (I John 1:5-7) On Saturday my brother in the Lord and owner of Mustang Drywall and Paint, Larry Adams, came over to the house to give us an estimate on some work that we needed done. More than the estimate, it was good seeing Larry. As we fellowshipped with one another, Larry began talking about the influence of light on how we see our walls. In regular, average, everyday lighting in our house, things look O.K. But when you apply light to a wall, you began to see things differently. When you shine a halogen light BAM the awareness of flaws intensify. To demonstrate what he meant, Larry took out his phone and turned on his flashlight app and shined it on our walls. When he did that joints and imperfections in the drywall appeared. Take away the light and they disappeared. It was at that point, that I felt a Ruminator Rambling coming on and so did Larry. When we walk in THE LIGHT (not a light) our sin and flaws are MADE MANIFEST. I find that when I get to close to the light and begin to see how I am, tend to quickly remove myself from the light, but in the words of the Temptations song Ball of Confusion, You can run, run, run, but you sure cant hide. What can a guy do when his flaws, cracks, and sins are revealed and manifested by the light? 1. Confess (say the same thing that God says) your sins 2. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse you from all sins 3. Dont deny the sin 4. Accept the propitiation (satisfactory substitute) for you sins 5. Fellowship with others who are in the same condition that you are in, who have been in the light and have been cleansed by the blood of the lamb.
