LITTLE CHILDREN OVERCOME THE ANTICHRIST I mentioned earlier that the first thing a young convert or little children must overcome is the guilt of their past sins, accusation or condemnation connected with the past way of living before they met Christ. And the reason is because the sins of the little children are forgiven them for His names sake (1 John 2:12). Now what is the next thing little children must overcome, after overcoming the guilt or nemesis of their past sins? The next thing little children must overcome includes to overcome the spirits of the antichrist. OVERCOME THE SPIRITS OF THE ANTICHRIST You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). 1. Who are those that the little children had overcome? Read the preceding verses of that scripture and you will findout they are the spirits of the antichrist and their human agents in disguise. To connect it to first John chapter two, it is written therein: Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time (1 John 2:18). Remember, for little children to overcome the antichrists in the world, greater is the Christ in them than the Antichrist in the world: However, that Christ in them (that is greater than he that is in the world) must be connected with the knowledge of Christ or with anointing (unction) to know all things, before the little children can overcome the antichrist. The one in you is greater, but to connect with the one in you in order to activate the victory over the antichrists, you must learn of Christ by his Unction or Anointing in you which is given to teach you all things (1 John 2:18-20): As it is written, These things have I written to you concerning those that seduce you. But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you do not need that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in him. And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him. (1 John 2:26-29). From the scriptures we just read, abiding in Christ is simply all that is required of little children. 1. Abiding in Christ means overcoming the antichrist, because antichrist cannot affect any man who abides in Christ. Antichrists themselves were people and spirits who did not continue to abide in Christ (1 John 2:19). Therefore, before antichrist can over any man, he first pulls the man out of Christ by bringing the teachings of error or seducing him with lies that seem like truth, to entice and draw him out. Thus, we must rely on the anointing of truth which brings knowledge of truth at all times in order to abide in Christ (1 John 2:18-29). 2. Abiding in Christ is also the means by which we gain confidence and not ashamed when Christ shall appear at his coming (1 John 2:27-29). Therefore, little children, keep on abiding in Christ to keep on overcoming the antichrists; and keep on learning from the anointing or Spirit of truth in you, to keep on abiding in Christ daily. This anointing can be gained or lost daily, so keep on gaining the anointing of truth daily by coming to Christ daily.
