LODDON UNITED Vs HARLESTON TOWN XI: A mixed Town squad continue their Wightman Cup campaign this evening when they face Ang Com Premier Division Side Loddon United at Bungay Town FC (Kick Off 19:30). Tonights result will conclude group A and determine who will join Wenhaston in the semi finals who have already qualified from the group thanks to a 1-1 draw with Loddon and a 2-0 victory over Harleston. Towns task is simple, win the game and they are through to the next round, anything less than a victory and they are out. Town will be once again using this competition to give players short on minutes games, players returning from injury important minutes and players that have impressed in the reserves first team experience. The 5 rolling subs rule means its a perfect chance to try new things in a competitive game situation away from the pressure of a league fixture. The 2 sides met in the Norfolk Senior Cup last season with Loddon running out comfortable 3-0 winners. Town crashed out of this competition at the first hurdle last year and are therefore keen to progress further this time round.
