LOGIC LETTER 3/7 Dear Lojiks, By now, the Alamo had fallen. Texas greatest heroes were dead. Santa Ana had triumphed. But his victory would not stand. C-PAC is underway and we have a chance to start vetting our possible POTUS nominees for real. The campaign will be here before we know it. Chris Christie got a standing-O -- something he needed badly, but we ha to listen to baloney about not nominating a far-right candidate. The moderates have done so well! Here is my short list of people I would support for President: Sarah Palin, John Kasich, Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul (with some reservations - he cant be an isolationist), Bobby Jindal, and possibly even Rick Perry. Thank you, but no: Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan. Maybe, but lets wait and see: Dr. Ben Carson, maybe a couple of governors yet to be named. We must win this time, so we have to come together on a candidate that will please both Republicans and conservatives. Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton has compared Putin to Hitler. Is she right? Well discuss. TEMPLE, TEXAS, THE SOAP OPERA: Our gun-totin buddy C.J. Grisham comments at city council, and asks the Mayor for a response. We cant comment, he says. Grisham proceeds to enlighten the council members on their own city charter. Of course, they can comment. There is a tradition that thy do not answer during these citizen comment sessions, but they can. They are not gagged -- and they certainly could comment after the meeting. Somebody help me with this. I was not able to attend as I was out of the city last night, but did more people come before the council to support the lawbreaking of Judy Rodham Morales? Where did we get all the ethically challenged citizens? The evidence against Morales is significant. If she gets off the legal hook, it will be due to a two-year statute of limitations. The County has already floated this trial balloon -- and is hasnt gone over too well. But, if what I suspect is true, and other county officials have also used county resources for electioneering, then somehow, this situation has got to go away. The statute of limitations issue can be manipulated. It all depends on what dates are selected as beginning and end points of the alleged crimes. Its a chess game. Kind of entertaining.
