LOOKING BACK AT 2014 ... WORLD SPRINTCAR DERBY - As the year closes, I am looking back at some of the videos I have filmed this year, these are some of my favorites. A MAIN (night 2) - Ian Madsen led from the start with Max Dumesny giving chase. Kraig Kinser split the needle diving between Trevor Green and Robbie Farr on the back straight before they took off not letting him get away with that. with Brad Sweet and Steve Kinser behind them. Dale Blayney took on Madsen before Madsen lost traction and slid coming off turn two losing momentum, the next lap. Madsen seemed to be blocking Max, ducking in front of him low, high, then low again and the two came together spinning on turn one. The caution came out, Ian managed to keep it going, while Max stalled, sending him to the rear of the field. Kraig and Steve Kinser were ready to pounce on the restart, Ben Atkinson stopped between 3 and 4 and Brad Sweet spun.This set up a thrilling run to the green with Blayney, Madsen, both Kinsers, Farr and Green all at the front racing hard and this time it was Steve Kinser who split Farr and Green on the back straight, before somehow squeezing under Madsen through 1 and 2 with no room to breathe.Kraig Kinser had shot off and wasnt going to let anyone catch him, Blayney rode up on the back of a slower Gordon which caused him to stall as Blayney managed to limp away keeping the motor going. He was allowed to keep his second place spot for the restart which didnt go down well with the crowd, attracting boos and a call of dirty driver as he was handed his trophy. Father and son up on the podium together, an all American podium, great footage and another great race to watch, the two nights of the World Speedway Derby was fantastic, from hot laps checquered flag on night 2.
