LOST/MISSING DOG: Dixie-Lee UPDATE #2: March 22nd, 2014 Missing from Prattville, Alabama since Nov. 19th, 2013 It has been four months, and every day brings more sorrow and thought. We recently went through an incident where one of my animals was injured, and we are 99% certain we know who did it. A lack of evidence causes us to not be able to pinpoint them with the police. The sad part is that this individual was seen back and forth in the woods near our house and on the neighboring property two or three days after Dixie went missing, and I am deeply afraid this person has hurt her. BUT, we are following a lead out of North Carolina and trying to contact individuals who found a dog who RESEMBLES Dixie closer than any other tip has before. Please pray for us, and wish us luck. REWARD HAS INCREASED and we are now offering $1000 to any organization or person who returns her safely, no questions asked. Thank you for following this story and sharing. PLEASE SHARE THIS AS PUBLIC New flyers are being printed and about to be hung all around town and even Montgomery/Prattville. All River Region veterinarians and shelters will receive copies of it as well. MICROCHIPPED, SPAYED. HERE ARE HER DETAILS: DIXIE-LEE 1 year old Red Heeler mix Female- SPAYED Microchipped through 24PetWatch: 0A13455969 Very small, weighing about 40lbs and barely stands up to your knee. Looks like a puppy still. Two circular scars under the fur on her back from a previous wound. Very friendly, and has a distinct, high-pitched bark. Mostly white coat with some reddish/orange spotting, lightly, and some of this color around her head. Missing from Pierce Lane in Prattville, Alabama 36066 since November 19th, 2013. (This is located in the Cooters Pond boat ramp area, which is just off of US 31.) NOT wearing a collar, unfortunately. OFFERING A $1000 REWARD for her SAFE RETURN, no questions asked. In the event the individual or organization will not accept the reward, it will be split as a donation amongst our three local humane societies in their honor. Please share this as public with anyone and everyone you can EACH DAY in hopes we can find her. Spread it by word of mouth just in case people cant see it online. Ask permission to put a copy of her poster in your workplace, and hang one or more in your neighborhood. We are also looking into placing ads in newspapers, and maybe radio or television if we can afford to. This girl is MY WORLD and every day is killing me without her. She is a good dog, who rode everywhere with me and enjoyed walks down the creek and to the river, chasing waves on the sandbar and visiting other dog friends. She has two other dogs that are her like her siblings, a pot-bellied pig, and two cats that all love and miss her. Her human family of 5 of us miss her just as terribly.
