LOVE LIGHT DEVOTIONAL. DAY 60 TOPIC- BE AVAILABLE TO GOD "And Jesus said unto them, come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. And straight way, they forsook their nets, and followed him." Mark 1:17-18 God is not looking for able men or strong men. Neither is he looking for skilled men. God looks for faithful, available and teachable men. He never calls the equipped or qualified, rather He equips the called. Availability means readiness. Being capable to be used. Absolute surrender to the ways of a new kingdom. The reason God takes delight in using available people and not able people is because if He uses an able person, whatever results the able person gets will be attributed to his own strength. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 says, "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the things which are mighty...that no flesh should glory in His presence." That none might share his glory with Him, God therefore likes to use people of no or little value so that success will elicit thanksgiving from men to God. David was but a little boy when he killed Goliath. Gideon was hiding, threshing wheat when an angel appeared to him and called him mighty man of valour. Judges 6:11-40. And in Judges 7, God narrowed down the army from thirty- two thousand to three hundred men who battled and won against the Midianites. Availability is profitability and not stupidity or lack of priority. CONFESSION: I make myself fully available and open to the move of the Spirit of God at every time.
