LOVING THE SIMPLE THINGS...Growing up around Alamitos Bay in the 50s and 60s, we took pride and interest in the world around us. One of my simple pleasures and that of many others was our small collections of things we found or sought out. Sand dollars were one of those things and I and many of us around the bay would dig into the sand to find these treasures. Later they would adorn our yards and fences and remind us of the beauty that surrounded us. We were so blessed and much of that continues to this day.
