I understand that originally, it was released by Beyonce Knowles which is sufficient to guarantee I would have never listened [I find her lyrics sound as if they might have been written by a 9 year old for her peers] and while I dont know who wrote this or what XO means [other than text slang for Love+Kisses which also pretty juvenile], I am being moved by the raw vocal stylings, a seeming yearning, and a deep sense of longing infused into in this version by John Mayer
