LUCKY WIN FOR MIZORAM POLICE FC -Michael Lalremtluanga Reitlang FC were able to hold off the Police for 90 minutes but an injury time goal from F. Lalrinpuia was enough to see the Police win three points. It was the first match after a busy transfer market in the Samsung 3:16 Plan Solution Mizoram Premier League Season 3 and Police midfielder Lalramtharmawia was the man of the match. It was Mizoram Police FCs fifth win in a row and they now have 18 points which was the same as league leaders Aizawl FC. Police have to take part in the Police Meet so they will play Chanmari FC on Saturday. Mizoram Police have JS Hmar in defense as he replaced promising youngster Lalhmunawma in the starting eleven. F. Lalrinpuia joined the squad after missing the Reitlang FC match through injury while five goal man Lalbiakhlua along with B. Malsawmzuala and midfielder V. Laltanpuia started the match as expected. Reitlang FC were busy in the transfer market but midfielder H. Sanglianmawia was the only new player in the starting eleven. Liberian forward Abraham Bobby Fanny and Bengali midfielder Kihon Saha had to make do with their place in the bench. Darjeeling player Cho Tsering Lepcha and Cameroon player Patrick Arol Enondji were in the starting eleven as usual. Mizoram Police FC created a chance right at the start when Lalfakzualas amazing run made him through on goal but his shot was thwarted by the keeper Lalrintluanga. Reitlang FC replied creating a chance of their own when a corner taken by Lalmalsawmtluanga found Patrick but his header was denied by the post. Police were more dominant and defender JS Hmar had no chance to show his ability and never quite been tested. Police had many efforts on goal but the attackers failed to find the target. Second half showed the introduction of new signings as Abraham and Joseph Biakthianghlima came on for Reitlang FC and their game improved as expected. Police continued to show their desire to get a goal but their efforts were in vain. In the 64th minute, MPL1 best forward Valpuia was introduced and it was to be decisive. Police forward Sawmteas shot was good but the ball was blocked by Reitlang FC defender John. Sawmtea was also denied by the crossbar from a freekick while Fakzuala was a constant threat on goal. Reitlang FC forward Abraham was brought down inside the penalty area by Police keeper Vanlalhriata but a penalty was not given. The Liberian forward missed another good chance after this and keeper Hriata was almost punished for his carelessness but the post came to the rescue. Valpuia came alive in the injury to score the winner for the Police. Keeper Tluanga could have done better. It was Valpuias first goal of the MPL3.
