LYRICAL AND THE SLEEPING DEVIL Just yesterday, my friend Lyrical Mustafa was trying to refute the post I made yesterday about the Hadith, but in the real sense, he is not trying to debunk me, he is only DEBUNKING his own Hadith. Here is what the COPY AND PASTE he gave as a response: -------------------- Muslim scholars explain that the nose is one of the ways to one’s mind and thoughts. Satan tries to put his ideas and suggestions into the mind of a person during his sleep as well. The best cure is that after waking up one should clean one’s nose, make ablution for Prayers and seek God’s protection. Some other scholars say that Satan is a symbol of everything bad and evil. Through this symbolism the Prophet was warning the people to be conscious about the cleanliness of their bodies. In the hot and dry climate, the nose does become stuffy during the night. One feels like the devil was in the nose. This was the Prophetic way to tell the people to keep themselves clean and make ablution as soon as they get up. -------------------- Haba, what is the sense in this, how does washing ur nose save you from the wiles of the devil? is this attempted explanation not exposing Islam the more? I guess Lyrical is only worried about the devil sleeping in the nose of the Muslims, what about the Hadith that says the devil can also URINATE in the EAR of a Muslim? Read this ---------------- Narrated By Abdullah : A person was mentioned before the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and he was told that he had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for the prayer. The Prophet said, Satan URINATEd in his ears. [Sahih Bukhari Vol 2, Book 21.Number245] ------------------
