Labor’s Chris Bowen admits today Labor has plans for big spending cuts and big tax rises... It’s just that he can’t say what they are. It’s a secret! They promised surplus after surplus in government, they said they had actually done it – but a surplus that was always a myth, a furphy perpetrated on Australians. They say they now have decided to be responsible and fix the budget. But look at their actions right now: blocking and complaining, doing anything possible to spoil the budget repair for which the Coalition Government – and only the Coalition – has a real plan. Not only is Bill Shorten opposing the fix to their own mess – he’s even opposing $5 billion and more of repair measures to which Labor committed in government!
