Ladder Training In Moldova - Hey gimme a ladder truck! Quite interesting and thinking it is amazing how things end up working. I am living in El Paso, Texas, for the time being (missing the water in Hampton Roads, Virginia) and the other day in Walmart (yeah, Ill admit it, sometimes you do have to go to Wallyworld) I saw a man in an unusual military uniform. Looking closer his tab said Moldova. Wow! We do have many Allies, dont we! Guessing he is in school at Fort Bliss and maybe the Sergeant Major School, but there are many commands and schools over there and I am told it is the largest Army installation in our country. I believe that, its big and the night firing exercises of the U.S. 1st Armored Division are awesome seeing the flashes and hearing it from our house. Still learning all this army stuff with plenty of Soldiers in El Paso as I come from an entire life in Navy Town USA with everywhere in Hampton Roads (Norfolk) having something Navy in it. Used to love watching the F-14s and A-6s flying out of Oceana back in the day. The F-18s are awesome but those big old Tomcats were fun to watch. And seeing five carriers sitting in Norfolk is something to see and one sailing out through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is a sight. I did, in my entire time so far in El Paso, see one Sailor in Walmart. Shocked me and just had to talk to him as it felt a little like home. Got real used to Army green. He told me he was at school at Fort Bliss and was attached from his command in Norfolk. Had to buy him lunch. Great talk!
