Ladies & Gentlemen after a lot of thought towards the upcoming NADJ Conference & AGM & the fact that Paul Arnett has announced that he is to step down as Chairman plus several phone calls from members, I have decided as I am stepping down this year as branch chairman of South Central I am happy to put my hat in the ring as a nomination for National Chairman. I write this purely to let my friends that have asked know & also make NADJ Members aware that they need to also think about who they would like to best represent them as the National Secretary. The process for voting for the National committee is as follows You should all have received this email by now. The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) Committee Nominations To: All NADJ Members From: Alan Marshall, NADJ Secretary Date: 17th March 2014 Re: NADJ Annual General Meeting 2014 & Committee Nominations The 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the National Association of Disc Jockeys takes place on Sunday 27th April 2014 at Dukes Meadows, Dan Mason Drive, London, W4 2SH. The formal part of the AGM will start at approximately 4pm (seminars start earlier in the day). More details of the Conference can be found on the dedicated website: djexpo.co.uk All NADJ members are requested to attend the AGM, where the Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary for the 2014-2015 term of office will be elected. Nominations are invited for the elected officers within the Association; the positions of Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. If you would like to nominate someone please use the electronic nomination form and submit it by mid-day on Sunday 20th April 2014. The current elected officers are: Chairman – Paul Arnett Secretary – Alan Mashall Treasurer – Brian Jones NADJ members can nominate any Full NADJ member for the position of Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer and if more than one person is nominated, a vote will take place for the respective officers at the AGM. You must be a Full Member with valid PAT test documents on file and also up to date membership subscriptions in order to nominate or vote at the AGM. Both of these requirements will be checked before the nomination will be accepted. Nominations are now primarily conducted electronically. All you need to do is to log into the nadj.org.uk website and go to the Members drop-down menu. At the bottom of that menu there is a link to AGM 2014 Committee Nominations. On that form you can indicate who you wish to stand for the three elected positions on the National NADJ Committee. You do not need to fill in all three positions - if you only want to nominate a Chairman, then only fill in that field. Entering your membership number is compulsory and it can be found on your NADJ membership ID card and your personalised confirmation of insurance document. It will begin with M and have three or four digits - you are required to put the full details in that part of the form. An example of this would be M357 or M2010 - do not make up this number as your nomination may not be accepted and a verification system is in place. Please ensure your membership subscriptions are up to date and that you have valid PAT test documents on file with us, as your nomination may not count if you have not met the membership criteria as per the NADJ Constitution. If you cannot remember your Username or Password, please use the two links in the User Login section on the top left side of the NADJ website to retrieve your Username or a token to reset your password to log into the NADJ website - these will both be sent to you by e-mail and you are encouraged to check any Junk/Spam folders if you have not received a message with the information within one hour.
